The story behind our magical shirt designs: Marfa, San Miguel and more...

Beauty is everywhere, especially when you're getting outdoors and traveling around the world to see the sites of pretty places. Unlike other "cookie-cutter" shirt brands who use our boobs as a billboard for their logos and computer-generated themes, Wild Rose Apparel is inspired by real places & real adventure of fans and supporters.
They say, "the stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas." It was those stars and the beauty of the famous mystical town of Marfa, Texas, that inspired the design of our Marfa shirt. Marfa is a city in the high desert of the Trans-Pecos in far West Texas, between the Davis Mountains and Big Bend National Park. Marfa, Tx is known primarily for its famous Marfa Mystery Lights and as the location for the shooting of the classic movie "Giant," with Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor, Dennis Hopper, and James Dean. Today, Marfa is a tourist destination and a major center for minimalist art. Attractions include Building 98, the Chinati Foundation, artisan shops, historical architecture, a classic Texas town square, modern art installments, art galleries, and the Marfa lights. These lights, also known as the Marfa ghost lights, have been observed near U.S. Route 67 on Mitchell Flat east of Marfa. They have gained some fame as onlookers have attributed them to paranormal phenomena such as ghosts, UFOs, or will-o'-the-wisp. Scientific research suggests that most, if not all, are atmospheric reflections of automobile headlights and campfires. Whatever you believe, the little town of Marfa is mysteriously beautiful and inspired this starry and funky Wild Rose shirt that you are sure to love.
