Meet Wild Rose Woman Mary Beth
Posted on 15 April 2020
Residing in South Texas, Mary Beth works for an insurance company. However, her adventures go far beyond Harlingen, Texas. Growing up, Mary Beth did not hunt. As a matter of fact, she “shied away from guns.” After marrying into a hunting family, however, all of that changed!
Mary Beth is now an avid outdoors...woman. In her own words, Mary Beth explains that her favorite outdoor activities are “fishing, duck hunting, and beachcombing.”
Mary Beth loves the excitement of watching the rod bend over, never knowing what it may bring up. In particular, she thoroughly enjoys drum fishing.
While duck hunting a few years ago, Mary Beth shot a banded duck. This had been a dream of hers and something her husband had been trying to do for 40 years! She explains the moment like this “After I called in the number on the band, I found out it was a 2-year-old female pintail that was banded up north. It was such a great day. I had a great meal that came with bling!”
“Beachcombing is an activity that consists of an individual "combing" (or searching) the beach and the intertidal zone, looking for things of value, interest or utility.” Mary Beth explains that beachcombing gives her the perfect opportunity to spend time with her Lord and Savior, thanking Him for the many blessings in her life.
What is her dream trip?
In the future, Mary Beth hopes to go fishing in the Amazon for Peacock Bass or Sturgeon fishing here in the states. Mary Beth is obviously always up for an adventure!
A word for the women -
“My advice would be to try something new even if it intimidates you.”
Why Wild Rose Apparel?
Mary Beth’s favorite Wild Rose shirt is the Original Wild Rose Camo. In fact, it’s her “lucky shirt!” As someone who is really fair-skinned and has dealt with skin cancer issues in the past, she loves that Wild Rose Apparel protects her from the sun. She also loves the quick-dry feature of the shirt. Whether she is hunting, fishing, or walking on the beach, she is sure to be wearing her Wild Rose Apparel gear. The SPF 50+, moisture-wicking, and light-weight features of the shirt “are all things that [she] needs to be concerned about when [she] is outdoors.”
